filmmaking program
Caucasus Cinema

Vladic Ravich is the head of Caucasus Cinema, which is a free, immersive filmmaking adventure in five regions of the Republic of Georgia. Caucasus Cinema brings local filmmakers and storytellers from around the world to participate in Georgia’s rich filmmaking tradition. We believe excitement and challenges are critical to creative growth. Participants have only a week to plan, collaborate and finish a short film. Every week they focus entirely on making impossible things happen together. Then we screen these diverse visions of each location for the local audience. This filmmaking adventure allows local filmmakers to expand their creative network through deep collaboration with international peers, while foreign participants incorporate the region’s culture and landscape into their work.
